AUDRIA V. "ANNIE" (WORL) BARRETT

Audria Barrett

Audria V. "Annie" Barrett, 83, of Astoria died at 12:37 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

She was born June 11, 1919, in Albion, Neb., a daughter of Joseph and Stella Hoagland Worl. She married Corwin M. Barrett on May 26, 1940, in Skidmore, Mo. He died Feb. 2, 1981.

She also was preceded in death by one sister.

Surviving are one son, Jerry (and Susan) of Manassas, Va.; and one grandson.

She and her husband owned and operated Subway Cafe from 1947 to 1981. She also worked as a senior aide at Astoria Senior Citizen Center.

She was a member and past matron of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 144 and a past president of Astoria American Legion Auxiliary.

She was a member of Astoria United Methodist Church, where services were held Sunday with Rev. Marian Stone officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery.
