CLAIRE (HENLEY) BROWN

Claire Brown

Claire Brown, 84, of Lewistown, formerly of Table Grove died at 3:40 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2002, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

She was born Aug. 10, 1917, in Blandensville, a daughter of Martin L. and Kizzie Ella (Gibson) Henley. She married Merland Dayle Brown on Dec. 31, 1955, in Ipava. He died Sept. 26, 1993.

She also was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and one stepson.

Surviving are one daughter, Lin (and Jack) Myers of Ipava; one grandson, Cody David Myers of Ipava; one stepdaughter; several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Larry Bedwell and Katie Grove.

She worked at Camp Ellis, Macomb Steel Products, and she and her husband were in business in Table Grove for several years.

She was a member of the Methodist Church in Augusta.

Services will be held today at 1 p.m. at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava, with Damien Spikereit officiating. There will be no formal visitation, but friends may call after 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Shawgo Memorial Home until service time. Burial will be in Vermont Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Table Grove Rescue Squad.
