Vera Vernena "Nena" Bradley, 74, of Liberty died at 2:36 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
She was born April 25, 1928, in Meyer, a daughter of George and Velma Paden Griggs. She married Virgil Lyle Bradley on March 5, 1949, in Quincy. He survives.
Also surviving is a daughter, Donna (and Steve) Horwedel of Table Grove; two sons, Ron (and Sherri) of Liberty, and Carl of Quincy; eight grandchildren; a great-granddaughter, two brothers, Franklin (and Barbara) Griggs of Quincy, and Lanny (and Karen) Griggs of Liberty; two sisters, Joan (and James) Hess, and Connie Rathbun, both of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four infant children; and a brother.
Services were held Friday at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Graham officiating. Burial was in New Providence Cemetery near Ursa.
