She was born Oct. 28, 1908, in Lorimor, Iowa, a daughter of Clarence and Clora Dennis Rhone. She married Ernest J. Bubb on June 11, 1935, in Des Moines, Iowa. He died Jan. 16, 1999.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Larry; three sisters; and two brothers.
Surviving are one son, Gerald (and Patty) of Astoria; one daughter, Sandra (and Charles) Krouse of South Haven, Mich.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She taught school in Polo for two years and briefly taught in rural Astoria schools.
She was a member of Astoria Church of the Brethren, where she taught Sunday school and Bible classes for many years and was a member and past president of the Women's Fellowship.
She was a charter member of Astoria Women's Christian Temperance Union.
Services were held Saturday at her church with Rev. Gary Schultz officiating. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
