Howard L. Brown, 70, of Bryant died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2001, at his home.

He was born Sept. 7, 1930, in Table Grove, a son of Keith L. and Gladys M. Gossage Brown.

Surviving are four brothers, Ivan (and Nancy) of Smithfield, George (and Mildred), Keith Jr. (and Shirley) and Carl (and Pat), all of Hermon; two sisters, Melva Johns of Avon and Dorla (and Harold) Kruzan of Bryant; and 40 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

He served in the Army from 1951 to 1953.

He worked at Briggs Manufacturing in Abingdon and later worked at Cast Technologies in Peoria before retiring.

Services were held Tuesday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. Layton Malone officiating. Burial was in Waterford Cemetery in rural Lewistown, with military services conducted by Cuba American Legion Post 533.

Memorials may be made to the Fulton County Nutrition Program for the Aged.
