Donna Jean Bledsoe, 66, of Marquette Heights died at 3:26 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, at Pekin Hospital in Pekin.
She was born April 11, 1934, in Pekin, a daughter of Frank and Verla Knollenberg Hobson. She married Charles Dale Bledsoe on Nov. 18, 1950, in Piggott, Ark. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Keri Bledsoe of Marquette Heights; two sons, Charles "Chuck" (and Maria) of Marquette Heights and Jim (and Debbie) of Astoria; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maxine Bong and Ramona Hobson, both of Milledgeville, Tenn.; and one brother, Rolland Hobson of Pekin.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one grandson.
She last worked as a clerk for Planned Parenthood in Pekin. Before that, she worked at Pekin Hospital.
She was a member of the Lioness Club and the Community Chest, both in Marquette Heights, and helped organize the Girls Softball League in Pekin.
Cremation will be accorded. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. tonight at 213 Algonquin Road. Noel-Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin is in charge of arrangements.
