BEULAH L. (DERRY) BOHANNON

Beulah Bohannon

Beulah L. Bohannon, 77, of Montgomery, formerly of Ipava, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, at Provena Mercy Center Hospital in Aurora.

She was born May 23, 1923, in Astoria, the daughter of Melvin and Mildred Etter Derry. She married Joseph R. "Bob" Bohannon on Jan. 13, 1941, in Palmyra, Mo. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Lena Jo (and Tim) Bandy of Springfield; two sons, Robert E. (and Eileen) Bohannon of Hinckley and James T. (and Betty) Bohannon of Sullivan, Ind.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Sarah Groff of Ipava.

She was a member of the Ipava Christian Church, O.E.S. of Ipava and Tops of Montgomery. She was a league bowler in Vermont for many years.

She was preceded in death by one son, Jackie Lee Bohannon; and one brother, Donald Derry.

Services were held Monday at Ipava Christian Church with Rev. Kevin Kessler officiating. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery. The McKeown-Dunn Funeral Home, Ltd., in Oswego was in charge of arrangements.
