Mary Lou Bartlett

Mary Lou Bartlett, 47, of Columbia, Tenn., formerly of the Smithfield area, died at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 24, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.

She was born Dec. 8, 1952, in Canton, a daughter of Frank R. and Marilyn J. Lowe Bartlett.

Surviving are her parents of Columbia; paternal grandmother, Mary Jane Bartlett of Lewistown; two sisters, Vicki (and John) Bair of Columbia and Frankie Jane (and Tony) Ren of Thompson Station, Tenn.; and a godson, Ron Millard Jr.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather.

She attended Smithfield and VIT schools.

She had worked at Caterpillar in Peoria for 10 years and later worked in various law enforcement positions. She was currently working as a magistrate for Williamson County, Tenn.

She attended the Theta Methodist Church in Theta, Tenn.

Services were held Tuesday at Henry Memorial Home in Cuba with Rev. Randy McGeehon officiating. Burial was in Baughman Cemetery in rural Smithfield.
