MAX G. BROWN

VeteranMax Brown

Max G. Brown, 60, of Havana died at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 1998, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 5, 1937, in Table Grove, a son of Keith L. and Gladys Gossage Brown. He married Rose Conner on Aug. 2, 1974, in Woodland, Wash. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Martha of St. David; two sons, Dean of Pottscreek, Va., and James of Macon, N.C.; nine grandchildren; five brothers; and two sisters.

A truck driver, he worked for Clanin Trucking in Astoria. He was an Army veteran. He was a member of Astoria Assembly of God Church in Astoria.

Services were held Saturday at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana with Rev. Roger Boyd officiating. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery in Astoria with military honors conducted by the Havana Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6408.
