Mattie L. Brand, 68, of Bushnell, died at 5:04 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 1997, at Mission Hospital in Mission, Texas.
She was born Oct. 21, 1929, in Lee Township, a daughter of Glenn and Erma Potts Wallick. She married John Brand on Dec. 3, 1948, in Galesburg. He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, John and Brian Brand, both of Galesburg, and Gary Brand of Sioux City, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Janet) Carlson of Viola and Mrs. Phil (Garnet) Sylvester of Pierson, Mich.; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Wallick of Lewistown and Floyd Wallick; and five sisters, Nellie Morrison of Lewistown, Bettie Sheets of Camden, Helen Miller of Bartonville, Bernice Kreps of Idaho and Ruth Bamboa of California.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and an infant son.
She was a member of Rolling Rivers Camping Club.
There were no services. Cremation rites have been accorded. Martin-Hollis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
