Irma Louise Brielmaier, 86, of Ipava, died at 4:30 a.m. Friday, May 16, 1997, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
She was born July 21, 1910, in Ipava, the daughter of William H. and Fannie Belle McCarty Swank. She married Alphone A. Brielmaier on Sept. 17, 1946, in Champaign. He died April 8, 1981.
A 1935 graduate of the University of Illinois, she received a degree in library science. She worked as a librarian at Penn State University, the University of Illinois, the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada, Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Cincinnati.
Services were held Sunday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery.
