MARJORIE M. (BUTLER) BENJAMIN

Marjorie Benjamin

Marjorie M. Benjamin, 71, of Rushville, died at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 1997, at the Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

She was born July 20, 1925, in Table Grove, the daughter of Charles Frederick and Minnie Esteer Bankes Butler. She married Raymond Benjamin March 3, 1944, in Palmyra, Mo. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Rose Marie Blackburn of Brooklyn; one son, Gary Benjamin of rural Rushville; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Charlie Butler of Colchester.

She was preceded in death by one son, Terry Benjamin, one granddaughter, Loy Clayton, and one brother.

She worked for Mickelberry Packing Co., owned and operated Ping’s Pantry Restaurant, and worked part time at Rushville I.G.A.

Services were held Saturday at the Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with David Haney officiating. Burial was in the Rushville City Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
