Wilbur Baxter, 65, of rural Canton, died at 11:12 p.m. Friday, May 9, 1997, at Graham Hospital.
He was born Aug. 21, 1931, in Canton, to William and Grace Bonney Baxter.
Surviving are six sisters, Grace Mason Rudolph of Tucson, Ariz., Martha Gamble of Duncan Mills, Nellie Fouts of Astoria, and Georgia Morgan, Ruby Lingenfelter and Betty Harmon, all of Canton.
One sister preceded him in death.
He was a laborer for Skiles Fertilizer and Lumber Yard in Astoria.
Services were held Monday at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home with Rev. Don Dixon officiating. Burial was in Highbridge Cemetery in Dunfermline.
