Claudine “Betty” Brown, 88, of Havana, died at 8:06 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 1997, at Mason District Hospital.
She was born June 27, 1908, in Vermont, the daughter of William A. and Hattie Jackson Fair. She married Harry E. Brown on June 1, 1927, in Rushville. He died April 3, 1988. One granddaughter also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Barbara Lagler of Petersburg; one son, Dr. Robert Brown of Henderson, Nev.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Havana Women’s Club and Havana Senior Citizens.
Services were held Monday at Hurley Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Maffett officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery in Vermont.
