Dale BrownDale BrownDale Brown, 53, of Morton, died at 4:50 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 1996, in Morton.
He was born Jan. 22, 1943, in Peoria, the son of Merland D. and Viola Brown.
Surviving are his stepmother, Claire Brown of Lewistown; one son, Jeff of San Francisco; one daughter, Jody Brown of Peoria; one sister, Shirley Widmer of Bartonville; one stepsister, Lin Myers of Ipava; and a friend, Jan Brown, whom he made his home with.
His parents and two half sisters preceded him in death.
He worked at Amax Coal Co. in Vermont and later at Weinstein’s Restaurant in East Peoria. A Navy veteran, he was a member of Morton American Legion Post 318.
There were no services or visitation. Cremation has been accorded. Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Veterans Administration Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.
