ROSEMARY (FUNK) BAILEY BENNETT

Rosemary Bennett

Rosemary Funk Bennett of 514 Fairview Circle, Ypsilanti, Mich., formerly of Bloomington-Normal and Funk’s Grove, died in her sleep at her home on Saturday, Jan. 27, 1996.

She was a daughter of Lawrence and Adele Stephens Funk and a great-granddaughter of The Honorable Isaac Funk, one of the first settlers of McLean County. For several years she made her home with an aunt and uncle, Amos and Velma Stephens Beans of Vermont and attended Vermont High School, graduating with the Class of 1944. She was also a graduate of Michigan State University.

Surviving are her husband, James; three sons, Robert L. Bailey of Bloomington and Peter Bailey and John Bailey of Ypsilanti; a twin sister, Laurel Funk Jannusch of rural Shirley; one brother, Stephen C. Funk of rural Shirley; and three granddaughters of Ypsilanti.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 30 at the Stark Funeral Home in Ypsilanti.

Memorials may be made to the Christian Science Church.
