LULA MABEL (HOLLENBACK) TRONE BATEMAN

Mabel Trone

Mabel Bateman Trone, 96, of Canton, died at 12 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 1995, at her residence.

She was born March 26, 1899 in Browning Township, Schuyler County, a daughter of George W. and Clara C. (Noble) Hollenback. She first married Carl Trone April 3, 1916 in Rushville. He preceded her in death Sept. 11, 1963. She later married William Bateman Dec. 6, 1970 in Canton. He preceded her in death April 8, 1976.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Trone of London Mills and Jim Trone of Canton; two daughters, Marjorie Chenoweth of Colona and Betty Crosier of Canton; 27 grandchildren; 91 great-grandchildren; and 28 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sons, Donald, Jody and Hank; three brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Trone was a member of the Salvation Army, League of Mercy, Home League.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home in Canton with Major Kenneth Higgins and Major Terry Nelson officiating. Burial was in the Christian Neck Cemetery near Rushville.
