Grace L. Bainter, 80, of Macomb, died at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, 1990, at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb.
She was born April 4, 1910, in Fulton County, a daughter of Lewis and Nellie (Zettle) Derry. She married Harold Bainter Nov. 20, 1929, in Carthage. He died Feb. 10, 1963.
Surviving are one son, Conley of Macomb; one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Sturek of Macomb; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Marville Foster and Mrs. Isla Duffy, both of Macomb.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. Bainter was a member of the Astoria Methodist Church, Macomb Grandmother’s Club, Womens Bowling League and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She was a clerk at Woolworth’s for 30 years and a cashier at the East Student Prince.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday at Sargent-Worthington Funeral Home in Macomb with Rev. James Stovall officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
