MYRNA M. (GRUBER) BAKER

Myrna M. Baker Of Dixon Dies

Myrna M. Baker, 83, of 1408 Douglas Terrace, Dixon, died Feb. 18, 1985, in Franklin Grove Health Care Center after a long illness.

She was born May 25, 1901 in Astoria, a daughter of Hiram and Anna (Miller) Gruber. She was married to Claire C. Baker Dec. 24, 1919 in Astoria. He preceded her in death June 19, 1966.

She was also preceded in death by one sister.

She was a member of the Dixon Church of the Brethren.

Survivors include four sons, Gene, Claire John and Rodney D., all of Dixon and Larry of Kimmel, Ind.; two daughters, Mrs. June Shaffer of Dixon and Mrs. Frank (Louise) Brechon of Rockford; three sisters, Ethel Stambaugh of Galeburg, Naomi Agard of Clearwater, Fla., and Mrs. Frances Gerber of Dixon; 23 grandchildren; and 24 great, great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 20, in the Dixon Church of the Brethren with Rev. LeRoy Kennel officiating. Burial was in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.

A memorial has been established to the church.
