VeteranAlbert Breeden, 55, Of Browning Dies

Albert “Whitey” Breeden, 55, of Browning, died at 2:24 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, 1980 at the Veterans Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.

He was born Dec. 1, 1924, in Browning, the son of Dane and Alice Phillips Breeden. He married Gloria McGinnis Dec. 23, 1946, in Ashland.

He was a life time resident of Browning and owned and operated the Phillips 66 Service Station in Browning for 19 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Christian Church in Browning and Schuyler County Post No. 4 American Legion. He was an Army Veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his widow; mother of Browning; and two daughters, Roxanne and Sheila, both at home.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday afternoon at Roby Funeral Chapel in Rushville with Rev. Glen Giles officiating. Burial was in the Browning Cemetery. Schuyler Post No. 4, American Legion, conducted services at 8 p.m. Sunday evening at Roby’s.
