Carl J. Bath Dies In Hospital

Carl J. Bath, 72, of Astoria, a retired farmer, died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 1980, in Graham Hospital in Canton.

He was born June 3, 1908, in St. David, a son of William and Myrtle Pollitt Bath. He married Margery Shaw Aug. 12, 1949, in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are four stepsons, Rolland Shaw of Lincoln, Richard Shaw of Anchorage, Alaska, Clifford Shaw of Ridgecrest, Calif., and Robert Shaw of Eureka, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Shirley Noble of Livermore, Ky.; 21 step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; two half-brothers, Lyle Bath of Astoria and William Bath of Canton; and four sisters, Mrs. John (Hazel) Fontana of St. David, Mrs. Goldie Harms and Mrs. Ethel Showens, both of Peoria, and Mrs. George (Dorothy) McNich of Glasford.

One brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Henry Memorial Home, Lewistown, with Rev. Lester Burgard officiating. Burial was in Apple Cemetery.
