Miss Mattie Baughman, 75, of Adair, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 1975, in McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
She was born in Fulton County on April 29, 1899, a daughter of Robert W. and Mary Steele Baughman. She never married.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Flora Sheldon of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Mrs. Nelda Laird of Tucson, Ariz.
She was a charter member of Delta Kappa Gamma and attended United Methodist Church in Adair.
Miss Baughman retired from teaching in Alabama in 1968 after 44 years.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon at Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell with Rev. Lander Gutel officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.
