Pierce Beatty, 74, a retired Rushville city employee, died Tuesday morning, March 17, at the Culbertson Hospital in Rushville.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Lawrence Childers officiating. Burial was in Hughes Cemetery near Rushville.
Mr. Beatty was born June 2, 1895, in Schuyler County, the son of Bart and Lydia Van Cleave Beatty.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Kathryn Peterman of Astoria and Mrs. Violet Hammond of St. Augustine and seven grandchildren.
