Harry Blurton Of Canton Dies

Funeral services were held Saturday in Rushville for Harry Blurton, 51, of 1002 East Oak, Canton, who died at 2:05 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, in Graham Hospital.

He was born April 1, 1918, in Sweetwater, Ill., the son of John and Lillian (Maple) Blurton. He was married to Lois Clayton, who survives.

Others survivors include his mother of Beardstown; a daughter, Mrs. Saundra Johnson of Canton; a son, Harry Blurton Jr. of Astoria; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lyle Nelson of Rushville and Mrs. Alice Coukenhour of Alexandria, Va. One brother, James Blurton of Freemont, Mich., also survives.

The Rev. Harold Hedden officiated at the 2 p.m. servicces in the Worthington Funeral Home, Rushville. Burial was in the Rushville City Cemetery.
