Harry J. Brockley, 83, a lifelong Ipava resident, died on Monday night, May 9, in the Mason District Hospital six hours after he was admitted.
Born Oct. 26, 1882, in Ipava, he was the son of Joseph and Nancy Tippey Brockley. He was married to Fannie Grewell, Aug. 13, 1907. She preceded him in death Feb. 19, 1958. He was a retired employee of the Ipava Lumber Company.
Among survivors is a niece, Mrs. Tom Bohannon of Ipava, with whom he made his home for the last several months. Also surviving are several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted in the Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava. The Rev. W. R. Giffin officiated and burial was in the Ipava Cemetery.
