Virgil V. Burton, 62, of Astoria, died Tuesday evening, Oct. 19, at Mason District Hospital in Havana.
Mr. Burton was a resident of Indiana before moving to Astoria a few years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes, of Astoria; one son, James Burton, also of Astoria; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Nixon, Homer City, Pa.; four grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. George Canellis, Chicago, Mrs. Claude Mason, Indianapolis, and Mrs. Verda Kreivitt, Chiefland, Fla.; and one brother, Fred Burton, Dallas, Texas.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Pleasant Ridge Church near Petersburg, Ind., with burial in the church cemetery.
