William T. Boyd Dies Saturday At Evanston

William T. Boyd died at his home in Evanston Saturday, following an illness of more than three years duration.

Mr. Boyd was born in Sheldons Grove, August 6, 1874, a son of David and Nackey Boyd. He is the last of a family of six children.

Besides his wife, Bessie M., he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Victor Parker of Mt. Sterling, Mrs. Joseph Winston of South Elgin; also two grandchildren.

Mr. Boyd was a life long member of the Sheldons Grove church. For many years he lived at Boyd's Landing on the Illinois river, where he engaged in fishing and hunting.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Sheldons Grove church, conducted by the Rev. H. D. Simmons. The body was brought to the church at 11 o'clock where it was held in state until the hour of the funeral. Burial was in the nearby cemetery.
