Michael (Mike) Beam, 81, was found dead in his home near Bluff City Wednesday evening by Hugh Curless and Edward Oest of Astoria. It was believed that he had been dead a couple of days. He lived alone, and was never married.
He was born Dec. 14, 1871, near Astoria, a son of Nicholas and Lavina (Moose) Beam. He is survived by one sister.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon in the Shawgo Memorial home, by the Rev. Fred Thompson.
Burial was in the Astoria cemetery.
Deputy Coroner Inmon Blackaby will conduct an inquest.
