Havana Man Dies Following Auto Crash

Elmer E. Boyle, 43, Havana business man, died Monday of last week at the St. John’s hospital in Springfield from injuries received when the car he was in collided with another car on highway 97 south of Oakford at about midnight, Saturday.

Boyle was proprietor of the Boyle’s tavern in Havana. He suffered a compound fracture of the left leg, head injuries and body lacerations. He was riding with his son, James and David Hill of Benton. James was seriously injured.

Mr. Boyle is survived by his wife, a son, and his parents and four brothers and two sisters.
