Death of Frank Baldwin

IPAVA — Frank Baldwin, 69, died at his home in Decatur Friday morning from a heart attack, which was a shock to his family, and also Ipava relatives and friends, as he had not been feeling ill to speak of.

Frank was the eldest son of Jack and Mary Duncan Baldwin, and was born on a farm near Ipava. He was married to Wayne Poerter and they were the parents of a son John and daughter Louise. Mr. Baldwin had resided in Decatur for many years.

Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Jessie Porter of Ipava and one brother, Lewis Baldwin of Colorado, besides his son and daughter of Decatur and several grandchildren of Decatur; also a number of nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Mr. Baldwin was in the real estate business in Decatur. He was a member of the Masonic lodge.

Funeral services were held at Decatur at 10 o’clock. The burial was in the Ipava cemetery where a brief Masonic memorial was held. The casket was opened at the Ipava cemetery so the many relatives and friends could view the remains.
