Mrs. Dollie Valentine has just received the sad news of the death of her oldest brother, LeRoy Baumgartner of San Francisco, Calif.
Mr. Baumgartner was born near Summum Feb. 8, 1883 and died Nov. 9, 1940 after an illness of less than two weeks. He was the son of Elijah and Effie McNeil Baumgartner. He was married to Minnie Leadman of Havana, who survives. There are no children, although he has taken into his employ his younger brother, Floyd, and two nephews, Delbert Baumgartner and Lloyd Atwater.
He has been a resident of California for thirty years or more. He was a very successful business man, owner and manager of the National Lacquer Co. of San Francisco.
Burial was made in a cemetery at San Francisco.
