Harry G. Becker Dies In Menands, New York

Mrs. H. G. Becker, daughter of W. F. Condit, is spending a few days in Astoria, after accompanying the body of her husband, the late Harry G. Becker from their home in Menands, New York, to Beardstown for burial.

Mr. Becker died Thursday, Oct. 10th, of complications which set in after he underwent a mastoid operation.

Harry Becker was born and raised in Beardstown and became associated with the C. B. & Q. railroad shops in that city soon after graduating from high school in 1901. In 1907 he married Miss Imogene Condit of Astoria, and after two years became associated with Lehigh Valley Road at Sayer, Pa.

At the time of his death Mr. Becker held the position of shop superintendent of the Delaware and Hudson at Watervelet, New York, and had been with the railroad for the past 25 years.

In addition to Mrs. Becker, he is survived by a son, Rankin Condit Becker, who graduated last June from Purdue University. He is now employed by the Allegheny Steel Corp., at Watervelet, New York.
