Brother Dies At Colchester, Ill. Funeral Thursday

Peter C. Bloomfield died at his home in Colchester on Tuesday of last week, aged 67 years, 7 months and 20 days. Death was due to heart trouble. His illness was brief.

Mr. Bloomfield was the son of John and Margaret J. Bloomfield and was born in Woodland township June 1, 1862. He was united in marriage to Williamette Myers of Colchester, Nov. 14, 1886. Two children were born to this union, Ina Shiftley of Tennessee, Ill., Donald of Fandon, Ill., who with the wife and six grandchildren, survive. Also two brothers, A. W. Bloomfield of St. Joseph, Mo., and R. L. Bloomfield of Astoria and a half sister, Mrs. Mary Hughes of Oklahoma City, Okla.

He was a member of the Primitive Baptist church, becoming a member in 1896 and lived a faithful, conscientious Christian until his death.

Funeral services were held at his late residence on Thursday afternoon at 1:00 o’clock, conducted by Elder Todd E. Webb of Carthage. Burial in Bethel Chapel cemetery.
