Young Mother Dies

Mrs. Mary Alta Beaty, wife of Melvin Beaty died Tuesday at her home in Kerton township near the Hickory school, aged 30 years. Death was due to pneumonia, following the flu. Mrs. Beaty took down on Sunday preceding her death. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband and three small children, namely: Lucile, Robert and Keith, also a father and five sisters and one brother.

Mary Ferris was united in marriage to Melvin Beaty, Nov. 23, 1911. Her sudden death cast a pall of gloom over the entire community in which she lived. The husband and children have the sincere sympathy of their many friends and neighbors in their sad hour of bereavement.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Thursday at the Hickory school house, conducted by Rev. S. C. Williams of Astoria. Interment in the Hickory cemetery.
