Jay H. Benton, the fifteen year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Benton of this city died at the Homes hospital at Macomb, Friday at about 12 o’clock, following an operation for appendicitis. He underwent the operation three days previous.
The body was brought to this city Friday evening by Undertaker J. B. Harris in an auto hearse.
Funeral services were held at the Church of The Brethren in Astoria Sunday, conducted by elder Chas. Walters. Burial in Woodland cemetery.
