HARRIET N. (JUSTICE) McNAIR BEATTY

Obituary.

Harriet N. Justice was born November 29, 1829, in Lowell, Ohio. Was married to William B. McNair July 15, 1846. Six children were born to this union, three boys and three girls: Ella Jennings, of Joliet, Ill., Lina Francis, of Phila, Pa., and Mary Willock, of Astoria, Ill., survive her; also one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lina McNair, of Table Grove, Ill. She has one sister in Clintonville, Pa.

The subject of this obituary was again married in April 1861 to William Beatty. The day of their marriage, Mr. Beatty went to Vicksburg, Mississippi, where he died nine months afterward. Sister Beatty united with the Presbyterian church when but thirteen years old and died as she had lived, in hope of the life that never ends. Her last days were spent at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Willock, whose loving hands ministered to her wants in every way indicative of a true daughter.

The funeral occurred in Table Grove Thursday, March 29, 1894. Rev. B. Y. George, of Lewistown, officiating.
