Died, three miles east of Ipava Dec. 16th, at the residence of his son, of heart disease, James Bedwell aged seventy-seven. Deceased was born in Virginia 1816 and came to Illinois with his family in 1850 and has resided in this vicinity since that time. His aged companion departed this life several years ago. Five children are left behind to mourn his loss. Uncle Jimmy was a kind christian man, ever willing to relieve the distressed wherever found. He had been a consistent member of the Christian church for the last forty years. Rev. Anthony conducted the funeral services and the remains were buried in the Ipava cemetery, followed by a large concourse of friends and relatives to their final abode.
