Willie Barkman, son of J. H. and Lizlie Barkman, was called away by death on Wednesday, Nov. 29th at the age of one year and ten months. Thus the home is bereft of one of its dearest members, as the rosebud is plucked from the bush that bore it and taken to add fragrance and cheer to the room in which it is placed, so little Willie has been plucked from the bosom of loving parents, and taken to add his share of happiness and joy to the vast throng of children in the land of eternal sunshine. Funeral services were conducted at the U. B. church by the pastor on Thanksgiving day at 2 p.m., after which the remains were laid to rest in the Astoria cemetery to await the resurrection of the same. — B.
