Pauline E. Abernathy, 85, of Rushville died at 4:15 a.m. Aug. 16, 2019, at the Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria.
She was born May 9, 1934, in Canton, a daughter of Paul and Eula Cole Tracey. She married Richard W. Abernathy on July 23, 1952, in Bushnell. He preceded her in death on June 2, 2017.
She also was preceded in death by one grandson, Clinton; one infant sister, Alice Tracey; and two brothers, Edwin and Lawrence.
Surviving are two sons, Rick (and Kathy) Abernathy of Littleton and Donald (and Penny) Abernathy of Marquette Heights; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was a graduate of Cuba High School. She worked for some restaurants, and provided home healthcare services.
She was a member of the Beardstown Congregation of the Jehovah Witnesses.
Graveside services were held Tuesday at the Littleton Cemetery. Wood Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Beardstown.
