Lloyd Dale Allen, 73, of Rushville died at 6:05 a.m. June 2, 2019, at Aperion Care in Jacksonville.
He was born Feb. 6, 1946, in Pittsfield, a son of Harry F. and Lula Ames Allen.
Surviving are two brothers, Dan (and Margaret) Allen of Jacksonville and Myrel (and Cheryl) Allen of Camden; two sisters, Vera Gregory of Lowder and Margie Donithan of Worden; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Wagner; and seven brothers, Oren, Dick, Clayton, Robert, Carroll, Jerry and Homer Allen.
He worked in the maintenance department at the Vermont Foundry for many years. Later, he served as a corrections officer at the Department of Corrections Illinois River Facility in Canton. He served as a Boy Scout leader for many years.
Private burial will be at the Pinetree Cemetery in Patterson. Wood Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.
