She was born March 10, 1929, in Macomb, a daughter of Clifford Earl and Geneva Madge Rigg Edwards. She married Thomas J. Armstrong on July 3, 1947, in Macomb. He preceded her in death on April 15, 2007.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Steven G. Armstrong.
Surviving are one daughter, Sharon Gray (and companion Roger Yetter) of Colchester; one sister, Betty L. Little of Battle Creek, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a 1947 graduate of Macomb High School. She and her husband owned and operated R & A Coin Wash. She later worked at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville for 13 years retiring in 2001.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was the past president of the Schuyler County Republicans Women and served as an election judge. She was active with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
Services were held Friday at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Reverend Bill Werner officiating. Burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb.
