Bradford AtorBradford Norman Ator, 74, of Farmington, Utah, formerly of Galesburg, died April 26, 2016, of heart failure in Bountiful, Utah.

He was born May 5, 1941, in Quincy, Adams County, a son of Norman Ray and Geneva Dumford Ator. He married Gloria Danner on Dec. 9, 1961, in Galesburg. Marriage later solemnized in the Logan Temple on July 12, 1962. She survives.

Also surviving are four children, Gayle (and Bobby), Jan (and Kyle), Dana (and Brandon) and Nathan (and Stacy).

He was preceded in death by one son, Clark (and Karlene); and one brother, Boyce.

He was an electrical engineer and worked at Hercules, Torkelson, Roberts and Schaefer, Amax and UP&L. He graduated from Bradley University in 1964 with a bachelors of science degree in electrical engineering. He coached his kids in little league.

He served in the bishopric in the Farmington 13th ward, as a Scout leader, a high councilman and in the stake young men’s presidency. He and Gloria served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Oklahoma City, Okla., mission in 2012.

Funeral services were held April 30, 2016, at the Farmington Utah Stake Center (Steed Creek), 347 South 200 West, Farmington. Burial was in Farmington City Cemetery. Russon Brothers Farmington Mortuary in Utah was in charge of arrangements.

Note: Gloria Danner Ator is a great niece of Bob and Freida McCormick of Astoria.
