Margie AdkinsMargie M. Adkins, 81, of Havana died at 11 p.m. Nov. 9, 2015, at Havana Health Care Center.

She was born May 12, 1934, in Kilbourne, a daughter of Ellsworth “Buss” and Eula Williams Altig. She married Robert Adkins on March 26, 1955, in Boonville, Ind.

Surviving are one daughter, Jennifer (and Jerry Bosie) Huston of Springfield; three sons, Robbie (and Debbie Lindsey) Adkins, Craig (and Laura) Adkins and Brian (and Stephanie) Adkins, all of Astoria; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lynn Adkins Bojarzin; one great-grandson, Jordan Russell Tyler; one brother, Gary Altig; and two sisters, Frances Frye and Glenda Hornback.

She was a homemaker. She worked as a telephone operator for a short time.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.

A Celebration of Life will be held at noon Sunday, Nov. 29, at Kilbourne Cemetery. Following the service, the celebration will continue at the Havana VFW at 1 p.m. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
