Beulah I. Anderson, 79, of Canton, died at 3:47 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 1998, in the emergency room at Graham Hospital.

She was born Sept. 25, 1918, in Vermont, a daughter of Charles and Lydia Mae McKinley Bankes. She married Harry Dutton. He preceded her in death. She then married Charles Engle. He preceded her in death. She later married Sheldon Anderson. He also preceded her in death, as did three brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are three sons, Charles Dutton of Pawnee, Leon Dutton of Vermont and Lyle Engle of Mesa, Ariz.; one daughter, Carla Coehl of Canton; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was a nurse’s aide for more than 25 years, first working at Clarytona Nursing Home in Lewistown and then at Clayberg Fulton County Nursing Home in Cuba before retiring in 1997.

Services were held this morning at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. George Mercer officiating. Burial will be in Astoria Union Chapel Cemetery in rural Astoria.
