ANNETTA JULIA (BRUDER) ADCOCK

Annetta Adcock

Annetta Julia Adcock, 86, of Pekin, died at 5:09 a.m. Friday, July 12, 1996 at Pekin Hospital.

She was born Aug. 2, 1909, in Pekin, a daughter of Rooney H. and Emma Wombacher Bruder. She married Irvin A. Adcock Sr. on June 6, 1925, in St. Louis. He died Feb. 5, 1973, in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Jeanine A. Smith, on Jan. 27, 1995, one grandson, five great-grandchildren, two sisters and one brother.

Surviving are eight daughters, Mrs. Charles (Wilma J.) Ehrett, Mrs. Jerry (Joyce L.) Ziegenbein and Linda L. Smith, all of Pekin, Mrs. Donald (Elizabeth J.) Jerly of Livingston, Texas, Jacqueline F. Wright of Lemon Grove, Calif., Janet S. “Jan” Mercer of Mackinaw, Mrs. Donald (Louise E.) Thomas and Mrs. Walter (Diane K. “Pete”) Emmons, both of Manito; six sons, Irvin A. Adcock Jr., of Vermont, George H. Adcock of Beloit, Wis., Robert T. Adcock of Yakima, Wash., Jerry R. Adcock of Santee, Calif., Byron J. Adcock of Pekin and Lyle D. Adcock of Edmonds, Wash.; one sister, Lucille J. Adcock of Pekin; 39 grandchildren; and 70 great-grandchildren.

She attended First United Methodist Church in East Peoria for many years. She was a core maker at Ken-Ray Brass Foundry in Vermont.

Funeral services were held Monday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, with Judy D. Doyle officiating. Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Central Illinois Chapter.
