Berniece Arnett, 86, formerly of Lewistown, died at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 1990, at Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Canton, where she was a resident.
She was born April 14, 1904, in Bernadotte Township, Fulton County, a daughter of Thomas M. and Rachael Adelia Meek Braden. She married Ralph N. Walker. She later married Jesse Arnett in 1945. He died in 1982.
She was also preceded in death by one sister.
She is survived by one son, Fred Walker of Peoria; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Providence Church at rural Lewistown and attended Lewistown United Methodist Church.
She was a member of the Fulton County Home Extension, Canton Elks Auxiliary and the Lewistown Dolittle Club.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Henry Memorial Home in Lewistown, with Rev. Mark Kaley officiating. Burial was in White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
