Richard Aten Of Vermont Dies

Richard LaVerne Aten, 61, of Vermont, died at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, 1990, at his residence.

He was born June 20, 1928 in Rushville, a son of Verne Jackson and Helen Kathryn Anderson Aten. He married Kathryn Palmer in 1968, in Rushville. They were divorced in 1977.

Surviving are his parents of Vermont.

He was a machine operator at Vermont Foundry for 38 years. He was a Korean War Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post 26 in Vermont.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Kost Memorial Home in Vermont, with Rev. Donald Pratt officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Vermont Cemetery.
