Russell Atwater, 62, of Rural Route, Astoria, died Sunday morning at St. Francis Hospital in Peoria where he was taken June 10 after falling from scaffolding at Caterpillar Tractor Co. where he was working for a sheet metal contractor.
He was born in Fulton County on March 28, 1908, a son of Charles and Margaret Jane Stephens Atwater.
His only immediate survivors are cousins.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at Shawgo Memorial Home with Rev. Roger Trautmann officiating. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery.
