Well Known Astoria Lady Dies Tuesday

Mrs. R. E. Anderson Passes Away At Macomb Hospital

Mrs. Susan Mae Anderson, wife of R. E. Anderson of Astoria, died Tuesday forenoon at the St. Francis hospital in Macomb, aged 81 years, two months and one day.

Mrs. Anderson had been in failing health for the past two years.

She was born Oct. 4, 1869 near Fandon, Ill., a daughter of J. E. and Jane (Clolfelter) Burgard. She was united in marriage to Robert E. Anderson on May 7, 1899 at Canton.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Orrin T. Anderson, one granddaughter, Mary Alice Enoch, and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Astoria Christian church. She was held in high esteem by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Astoria Christian church, conducted by Rev. Clarence Helsley. Burial in Astoria cemetery.
