Aged Citizen Died Near Ray

Newton Anderson, aged 61 years, 2 months and 16 days, died at his home near Ray, February 3, 1920.

On November 28, 1878 he was united in marriage to Miss Sarah Ellen Wright of Ray and to them were born two children namely: G. W. Anderson of Beardstown and Mrs. Alice Benton, Syracuse, N. Y. Besides his aged wife and two children he leaves to mourn his death two brothers, James, of Good Hope, and John, of Vermont, three sisters, Mrs. J. M. Wright, of Galesburg, Mrs. Stephen Parry, of Astoria, and Mrs. Uriah Sloan, of near Littleton, also a host of relatives and friends.

Interment was postponed until the arrival of his daughter, February 6, when short services were held and he was laid to rest in the cemetery near Ray.
